Font
In Microsoft Excel, the "Font" refers to the typeface, size, style, and other formatting options applied to the text in a cell. You can find various font-related options in the "Font" group on the "Home" tab of the Excel ribbon. Here are some common font-related features in Excel:
Here shall attached Video
Font Type: You can select a specific font for your text. The default font in Excel is usually Calibri, but you can choose a different one from the font dropdown list.
Font Size: You can specify the size of the text in a cell using the font size dropdown list. Alternatively, you can manually type the desired size in the box or use the increase/decrease font size buttons.
Bold, Italic, and Underline: You can apply these formatting options to make your text bold, italicized, or underlined. You'll find buttons for these options in the "Font" group.
Font Color: You can change the color of the text in a cell. The "Font Color" button allows you to choose a specific color for your text.
Fill Color: While not directly related to the font itself, you can also apply a background color (fill color) to the cell, which can enhance the visibility of the text.
Borders: You can add borders around cells or specific parts of text. This is not a font option, but it's related to cell formatting and can affect the appearance of text.
Text Alignment: The "Alignment" group in the "Home" tab allows you to control how the text is aligned within a cell. This includes options such as left, center, right, top, middle, and bottom alignment.
To access these font-related options:
- Select the cell or range of cells containing the text you want to format.
- Go to the "Home" tab on the Excel ribbon.
- In the "Font" group, you'll find options for font type, font size, bold, italic, underline, font color, and more.
